This annual celebration has become a cherished tradition of the university.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>The event was opened by the Rector of KUMU, Doctor of Economics and Professor Abdilbayet Mamassydykov, who congratulated the participants and emphasized the significance of Musa Jalil\u2019s literary legacy. In his address, he noted that the university systematically trains Russian-speaking educators and closely cooperates with the Russian House in Osh through joint projects. The rector also encouraged young people to study foreign languages as a key to professional and cultural growth.<br \/>\nThe head of the Russian House in Osh, Dmitry Avram, expressed gratitude for the ongoing cooperation and highlighted the importance of the event. As part of the program, participants of the \u201cRussian Teacher Abroad\u201d project were awarded letters of appreciation.<br \/>\nThe celebration continued with video presentations about Musa Jalil and readings from his works, including excerpts from the famous Moabit Notebooks, which reflect his struggle against fascism.<br \/>\nThe event was held under the motto: \u201cKyrgyzstan and Russia: History, Friendship, Cooperation!\u201d, underscoring the commitment to strengthening bilateral educational and cultural ties.<br \/>\nBackground<br \/>\nMusa Jalil (real name Musa Mustafovich Zalilov) was born in 1906. He began writing poetry at the age of 13 and became one of the most prominent Tatar Soviet poets. During the Great Patriotic War, he volunteered for the front and, while in captivity, organized an underground anti-fascist group. In Berlin\u2019s Moabit prison, he wrote the celebrated Moabit Notebooks.
