KUIU Launches Campaign “Human Rights – Your Rights, My Rights”

In honor of December 10 — International Human Rights Day, the Kyrgyz-Uzbek International University has launched a week-long campaign. The event was organized by the Department of State and Legal Disciplines of the Faculty of Law and Economics.

At the opening ceremony, the Rector of the university, Professor Abdilbaet Mamassydykov, delivered a welcoming speech, noting that human rights are the most valuable asset in every person’s life. Addressing the students, he emphasized that to become a competent lawyer, it is important to know not only one’s rights but also one’s responsibilities.

The Dean of the Faculty, Doctor of Law, Professor Almagul Kokoeva, also gave a congratulatory speech, stressing that strengthening the rule of law and combating corruption begin with quality education.

Throughout the week, free legal consultations, law competitions, intellectual games, and events under the slogan “Know Your Rights!” will be held.

The official opening continued with the interactive game “Kol üzümderi” featuring the Rector. Participants who answered questions correctly received gifts from the faculty.

Active participation was also shown by Vice-Rector for Social Affairs and the State Language, Syrgak Sarykov, along with university leadership and faculty members, who answered questions on human rights and were recognized with gifts.
