“Dostuk” Creative Youth Center Marks 10th Anniversary with Student Poetry Collection

At Batyraly Sydykov Kyrgyz-Uzbek International University, the talented students of the “Dostuk” Creative Youth Center hosted a festive concert evening titled “Fragrant Feelings.” The event was organized as part of the center’s 10th anniversary celebrations, highlighting its achievements and uniting students with a passion for creativity.

The evening was opened by the university’s rector, Doctor of Economics, Professor Abdilbaet Mamassydykov, who emphasized that the “Dostuk” Center brings together gifted young people from different academic fields, nurturing their talents and contributing significantly to their creative growth. He also noted that the center has thrived thanks to the initiative and enthusiasm of the students themselves.
During the event, active members of the center were awarded certificates of honor and letters of appreciation. The United Trade Union Committee presented the center with a letter of gratitude and a monetary award.
The celebration was attended by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Aida Baltabaeva; Head of the United Trade Union Committee Sheraly Egemberdiev; Vice-Rector for Social Affairs and State Language Syrgak Sarykov; and Chairwoman of the Women’s Council Aigul Arinova, who congratulated the students and expressed support for their creative endeavors.
Adding to the festive mood, Director of the Department of International Relations Chyngyzbek Mamazhakyp uulu and Trade Union Chairman Sheraly Egemberdiev performed their own original works on stage, delighting the audience.
Founded in 2016 by Sydyk Apish uulu, and currently led by Süyörbek Tashtemirov, the “Dostuk” Center has nurtured nearly 500 young talents, many of whom now work in various state and public institutions.
The evening featured poetry readings, live singing, and dance performances by students, showcasing their artistic skills. At the close of the event, Rector Mamassydykov proposed compiling a special collection of student works, bringing together their poems into a published anthology. This initiative was warmly welcomed by the youth, who noted it would further inspire their creative pursuits.
The “Dostuk” Creative Youth Center’s annual celebration has become a cherished tradition at the university.
