Scientific Seminar: Discussing Ways to Identify Relevant Research Topics

At the Kyrgyz-Uzbek International University, the Master’s Department together with the Department of Science, Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies (PhD) organized a scientific seminar entitled “Criteria and Practical Methods for Determining the Relevance of a Research Topic.”

The seminar was opened by the Head of the Master’s Department, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences and Associate Professor Nazira Tilekova, who welcomed participants and guests. The event was attended by Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation, Doctor of Economics and Professor Almaz Atabekov; Head of the Department of Science, Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies PhD, Candidate of Technical Sciences and Associate Professor Ilyazbek Isaev; Head of the Department of Preschool and Primary Education Methodology of the Humanitarian-Pedagogical Faculty, Honored Worker of Education Topchubai Isakov; as well as master’s students, postgraduates, and school representatives.

During the seminar, the following issues were discussed:

criteria for determining the relevance of a scientific topic;

methods for identifying its practical significance;

correct formulation of the object, subject, goals, and tasks of research;

practical advice for master’s and postgraduate students.

Professor Almaz Atabekov’s presentation was rich in content and continued in an active Q&A format with participants.

The seminar proved to be full of useful information for young researchers taking their first steps in science.
