Rahat Toktobaeva, Head of the General Medical disciplines division at the medical college of the Kyrgyz – Uzbek International University, and instructor Aynagul Kasymbekova successfully took part in an international experience – sharing program in the field of healthcare, held in Turkey. Their participation reflects the University’s commitment to global collaboration and professional development in medical education.
From September 15 to 28, specialists from Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan took part in a two-week professional internship at leading clinics in Ankara, Turkey. During the program, participants observed medical practices and actively exchanged experience with Turkish colleagues, strengthening international cooperation in the field of healthcare.
Main objectives of the program :
- Familiarization with the healthcare system of Turkey
- Study of clinical practices and management processes
- Establishment of international professional and cultural connections.
The program was hosted by several leading medical Institutions in Ankara, including Yuksek Ihtisas University, Gazi University, Ankara Memorial Hospital, Bilkent Children’s Hospital as well as Demirtepe Life and Yuz yil.
As part of the program, participants met and exchanged views with leading specialists and administrators, including :

- Sebnem Kavakli, Dean of the faculty of Medicine at Yuksek Ihtisas University
- Prof . Gulay Uzun, Dean of the Faculty of Health Science at Yuksesk Ihtisas University
- Ufuk Yekbashli, Ph.D, General Director of Yuz Yil
These meetings provided valuable insights into academic leadership, healthcare management, and international collaboration.
This international experience – sharing program opened new opportunities for the professional development of faculty members at the Medical College and contributed to the expansion of the University’s international partnerships.
