The Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Innovations of the Kyrgyz Republic held an online briefing on the Academic Innovation Fund (AIF) grant competition for higher education institutions.
During the seminar, the goals of the grant program, its main requirements, and project selection criteria were presented. It was emphasized that the competition is aimed at strengthening the scientific potential of universities and supporting innovative initiatives.
The event was attended by the Rector of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek International University named after Batyraly Sydykov, Doctor of Economics, Professor Abdilbaet Mamassydykov, along with faculty members and researchers. Participants received detailed information about the conditions of participation and project preparation.
The seminar highlighted that the grant program provides significant opportunities for the development of research activities, renewal of academic programs, and strengthening cooperation between universities and various sectors of the economy.
As noted, AIF grants are implemented within the framework of the project “Quality and Innovation in Higher Education” and are designed to support scientific research, innovation, and academic development.

* Maximum project duration — up to 36 months
University scholars and researchers were encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity by proposing initiatives aimed at improving the quality of education and implementing innovative projects.
