KUMU Students Win Medals at Traditional Sports Games

 

The representative team of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek International University named after B. Sydykov took part in the traditional sports games held in Bishkek. The athletes proudly represented their university, returning home with one silver and one bronze medal.

The sports delegation was led by Kursanbek Kaimov, Head of the Department of Physical Education and Sports, Azat Toktobaev, Director of the “Dostuk” Sports Club, along with the students’ personal coaches.

Over the course of two days, female students from the university competed in the national wrestling discipline “Alysh,” earning one silver and one bronze medal—adding to the university’s growing list of achievements.

The university administration congratulated the winners and all participants on their successful performance, expressed gratitude for their dedication, and wished them continued success in sports.
