On November 28, the Kyrgyz-Uzbek International University held a regular meeting of its Academic Council.
The session began with a celebratory moment — congratulations to colleagues who had received new academic titles. By decision of the National Attestation Commission under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, the honorary title of Associate Professor was officially conferred upon S.K. Jusueva and A.K. Tentimishova.
In addition, Rector of KUMU, Professor A.A. Mamassydykov, was awarded a Letter of Appreciation from the Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Innovation of the Kyrgyz Republic for his significant contribution to the integration of science and industry, as well as a Letter of Appreciation from the SCO Public Diplomacy Center in Uzbekistan for his major role in strengthening academic ties between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. These honors were warmly applauded by the university community.
According to the agenda, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Doctor of Philosophy and Professor Aida Baltabaeva, presented a report on the university’s teaching and methodological activities for the 2024–2025 academic year. The report was actively discussed by council members and, following questions and suggestions, was accepted as satisfactory.
The council also heard a report from Admissions Committee Secretary Almagul Kokoeva on the results of student enrollment for the 2025–2026 academic year. Strengths and shortcomings were reviewed, and the committee’s work was deemed satisfactory, taking into account the recommendations of council members.
