On December 8 — the Day of Kyrgyz Television and Radio Workers — the Department of Communications and Media of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek International University named after B. Sydykov held a solemn opening ceremony of the “KUMU Media Club.”
Director of the Department of Communications and Media, Turgunbay Aldakulov, delivered a welcoming speech in which he spoke about the goals of establishing the club, its mission, and areas of activity, and officially announced the opening of the Media Club.
The Rector of KUMU, Doctor of Economics, Professor Abdilbaet Mamassydykov, highly praised the university’s activity in the media space and emphasized the significant role of information culture and journalism in modern society.
As part of the event, staff members who contributed to shaping the university’s information image on social networks were awarded Letters of Appreciation, while new members of the Media Club received membership cards.
The new members of the Media Club — Vice-Rector for Social Affairs, Candidate of Philological Sciences Syrgak Sarykov; Chairman of the KUMU Trade Union Committee Sheraly Egemberdiev; and Dean of the Faculty of Law and Economics, Doctor of Law, Professor Almagul Kokoeva — supported the initiative of creating the Media Club, noted the important role of social networks, and highly appreciated the work of the Department of Communications and Media.
The opening of the Media Club marks a new chapter in the development of the university’s information activities and will unite creative youth!
