At the Kyrgyz-Uzbek International University named after B. Sydykov, a round table was held on December 8, dedicated to the Day of Kyrgyz Radio and Television Workers, on the topic “Journalism of the New Era.”
The event was attended by the Rector of the university, Professor Abdilbaet Mamassydykov, who emphasized the special role of mass media in modern society, the importance of journalism in the digital age, and expressed gratitude to media representatives for fruitful cooperation. As a token of appreciation, he presented the guests with valuable books about Ishak Razzakov.
The Rector also highlighted that in the new academic year, the university established the Department of Communications and Media, which is an important step in the development of KUMU as a university of the new generation.
In the format of an open discussion, participants addressed the requirements for modern journalists, professional responsibility, and the role of media in shaping public opinion.
Director of the Department of Communications and Media, Head of the Osh City Branch of the Union of Journalists of Kyrgyzstan, Turgunbay Aldakulov, on behalf of the Chairman of the Union of Journalists of Kyrgyzstan, Ilyaz Baltashev, congratulated radio and television workers, called for professional solidarity, and encouraged active participation in the Union’s activities.
The event was held in a warm, meaningful, and professional atmosphere.
