On December 12, the creative literary club “Sezim” of the STEM College of Applied Professions held a university-level cultural event entitled “The Voice of Aitmatov, Resounding from Ala-Too”, dedicated to the 97th anniversary of the great master of words Chingiz Aitmatov and to Literature Day.
The event was opened by Professor of KUIAU, Doctor of Technical Sciences Mederbek Ismanov, and Deputy Director for Academic Affairs of the STEM College, Candidate of Technical Sciences G. Tailakbaeva. In their speeches, they emphasized Aitmatov’s unique place in world literature, the deep philosophy of his works, and his special mission in glorifying the Kyrgyz people.
Students of the club expressively recited poetic works dedicated to Aitmatov and performed monologues from his writings, creating a distinctive literary atmosphere for the audience.
A particular highlight was the theatrical performance based on the work “When the Mountains Fall”, distinguished by a high level of artistry and warmly received by the audience.
At the conclusion of the event, M. Maripzhanovich, G. Tailakbaeva, and Asel Ibraimovna noted the relevance of the theme, the artistic quality of the performance, and expressed sincere gratitude to the club’s leader Zharkynai Abytova and all participants of the event.
The event fully achieved its purpose and once again vividly underscored the importance of the literary legacy of the great writer.
