The Historical and Philological Faculty of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek International University named after Batyraly Sydykov organized and successfully hosted a student friendship festival titled “Unity of Language – Unity of the People” in honor of International Mother Language Day on February 21.
The event was opened by the university’s rector, Doctor of Economics and Professor Abdilbayet Mamassydykov, who emphasized in his welcoming speech the vital role of native languages in preserving cultural heritage and shaping the destiny of a nation.
The festival featured artistic readings and patriotic works celebrating friendship among peoples, unity, and cultural diversity. A vibrant concert program, prepared by talented students of the faculty, brought festive spirit to the audience.
Throughout the event, special attention was given to respect for languages, cultures, and traditions of different nations. Calls for solidarity, mutual respect, unity, and patriotism resonated strongly among the students.
The university, which places international friendship and cultural diversity at the forefront of its mission, regularly organizes scientific and cultural events aimed at strengthening interethnic harmony and fostering youth in the spirit of patriotism and commitment to spiritual values.
