At today’s meeting of the Academic Council of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek International University named after B. Sydykov, distinguished scholar Professor Gulbadan Matieva was awarded the title of Honorary Professor of the University. Professor Matieva is a Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, and Honored Worker of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The high distinction was conferred in recognition of her many years of fruitful scientific work, her significant contribution to the development of higher education, and her active role in training new generations of researchers.
Rector of the university, Doctor of Economics and Professor Abdilbayet Mamassydykov, emphasized that Professor Matieva’s contributions to science and education are of exceptional value, and that the honorary title represents the university’s deep respect for her achievements.
In her remarks, Professor Matieva expressed sincere gratitude, noting that cooperation between the university and the scientific community will continue to strengthen. She also presented valuable scientific works as a gift to the institution.
“You are educating young people by synthesizing the spiritual values of our two brotherly nations. This is both a great honor and responsibility. In the era of globalization, fostering noble human qualities through education remains one of the most pressing challenges. This recognition inspires me to pursue new endeavors, and I have promising plans in this direction. I extend my deepest gratitude,” said Professor Matieva.
The decision is regarded as an important step toward strengthening ties between the university and the scientific community, as well as advancing the integration of science and higher education.
